Lovestorm jolted yet again, as she realized her death had come. Quickly getting Goldenpaw, she spoke calmly. She knew this day would come, as Shadowfur had said. "With the birth of more than 2 litters, each from a different mum,comes a death" Well, apparently it was Lovestorm's death. "Golden-gol-paw...You are the newest med. cat. I am joing Starclan, dear. Goodbye, send my farewells to everyone...And-and...you will make...a great..med. cat...Love...rests in all your hearts...so do I...." And with her last dying breath, she breathed a word, so faint, yet still heard. "Shadowfur" And with that, Lovestorm was dead.

Goldenpaw looked down at the beautiful young she-cat. She felt an overwhelming grief, and sadly padded out of the medicine cat den.
Mudpaw padded up to her sister. Goldenpaw's usual faint happy glow had disappeared, her tail drooped and her usually sparkling green eyes dulled. "What's wrong?" Mudpaw asked. Goldenpaw looked up, eyes heavy with sadness. "Lovestorm is dead."

Streampaw glanced around, and scurried towards Mudpaw and Goldenpaw. "Hiya Mudpaw. Hiya Goldenpaw." Streampaw examined the two yound she-cats faces. "Did something happen?"

Goldenpaw narrowed her eyes and turned away. "Lovestorm is dead." Her voice was a bare whisper. Mudpaw glanced at young apprentice and padded off towards the apprentices' den.

Nightpelt stalked over to Lovestorm's body. He would sit vigil tonight, though now he only buried his muzzle in her and grieved.

Goldenpaw padded over to the leaders' den. She sat in front of it staring at the entrance.

Streampaw stared at Goldenpaw, her face showing sorrow. She quickly padded over to Goldenpaw and wrapped her tail around Goldenpaw. "I fell really sorry for you, and everybody who was very close to Lovestorm," the silvery gray apprentice mewed. "She'll always be with us, forever, to guide us."

Goldenpaw bowed her head and padded towards Lovestorm's body. CArefully gripping it by the scruff, she dragged the medicine cat into the center of the clearing. Then Goldenpaw yowled, "Cats of Riverclan! Listen to me, for I have bad news. Lovestorm is dead!"
Mudpaw bounded into the clearing and pressed her fur against Goldnpaw's. Stormpaw did the same.

Goldheart padded out of the warrior den, and her usual cheerful mood like Goldenpaw disappeared. Goldheart padded towards Lovestorm,and pressed her muzzle gently into her side. "I feel your grief, Goldenpaw" She said, her voice pained. She rubbed against the young she-cat. "You're the med. cat now...I know Lovestorm lays in the dark sky, watching us. Remeber that, in your heart" She now said it loudly, for the other cats. She sat next to Nightpelt and pressed her fur into Lovestorm's, and sighed deeply. Then she looked at Nightpelt. "It's too sad"

Nightpelt padded up to Goldenpaw. He was never really close to Lovestorm, but he respected her all the same. "I'm sorry," he whispered to her. "I know she was close to you. Good luck as the medicine cat."

Goldenpaw nodded and pushed her nose into the dead body of Lovestorm. You can do this, Goldenpaw, she thought, You know all the herbs and you have a talent of reading signs from Starclan. Goldenpaw sighed and looked up at the stars. She thought she caught a sweet, familiar scent, and a voice whispering, Don't worry Goldenpaw. I will always be with you. Goldenpaw nodded. "I understand," she whispered back.
