Waterclaw woke up at dawn, where the peak of the sun was waking up, and when the moon was falling asleep. Waterclaw got up and stretched. He started licking his fur, and glanced at Skyfeather. She looked so peaceful and beautiful. He was done cleaning.He gave a lick on Skyfeather's head. He padded out and decided to have fresh-kill.

The unblemished white she-cat raised her head. She scented Waterclaw, but knew he had gone. Skyfeather stood up, stretched both hind limbs in turn, and padded out of the warriors' den, spotting Waterclaw by the fresh-kill pile. She sat, smoothing her fur a bit before padding over to the fresh-kill pile. Skyfeather chose a starling, and sat next to Waterclaw. " Hi.." She meowed quietly.

Waterclaw looked up from his eating. His food was hanging out of his mouth, and he was a bit embarrased. He quickly swallowed it and flicked his tail in greeting. "Hi" He glanced around, suddenly a bit nervous. "Wanna go out hunting with me? Riverclan could use some!" He quickly meowed to break the tension.

Skyfeather finished her prey quickly, silencing her growling belly. She noticed Waterclaw was talking stranger than usuall... He didn't usually act this way... He was usually confident. " Of course... " She replied, just as quick.

Waterclaw gave a short nod. "Alright...How about now?" He said, his voice building up with tension. He would have to talk about it later. He padded out of camp, and near the river. He sat down in the shade. A fish passed by him, and he was getting ready to pounce-But he missed. He glanced at Skyfeather. "Uhhh..." If cats could blush, he would be blushing madly right now.

Skyfeather giggled a bit, her tension breaking a bit. She stopped, not wanting to seem rude and padded next to him. " Oh... That fish was impossible to catch! I know I couldn't have... I probably would have fallen in..."She meowed with humor, and gazed into the water, awaiting a sudden silver flash.

Waterclaw gave a mrrow for cat laughter, and looked down at the water again. This time it worked. It continued on for this, until there was too many fish. "Ready?" He said, about to grab his large pile.

Skyfeather caught one more fish before nodding, and clamping all of her five fish in her jaws. She trotted back, unable to say anything through her mouthful of fish.

Waterclaw grabbed his fish, and eagerly followed Skyfeather.
After putting the fish in the fresh-kill pile, Waterclaw faced Skyfeather "I guess the tension broke up, eh?" He said it as a statement more, but it was a question. He looked around, wondering what to do.

The she-cat flicked her ears. " Er- Yeah..." She made it sound even more muffled than it really was, quite embarassed((Spelling?)). Once in camp, she deposited her contribution to the growing fresh-kill pile, and trotted around back to Waterclaw.

Waterclaw flicked his tail. "So..." He meowed after she had come back. "I wonder if there is anything to dooo..." For some reason, Waterclaw felt warmth every time he was around Skyfeather. Is it love...? "I love you" He suddenly blurted out. Suddenly realizing he had said the 3 special words, he padded back to the warrior's den.

Skyfeather's ears dropped as he padded away to the warrior's den. She wasn't sure if she should follow him, or let him be. The she-cat was the happiest she had been in moons. Finally, someone loved her. And... she loved him too. Her paws itched to race to Waterclaw and nuzzle him, and repeat the three words he'd said to her. She gave a soft nod, and padded into the warriors den. No one else was here but her and Waterclaw. When she was in the entrance, her pupils dilated. "I love you.." She meowed, in a hoarse whisper.

Waterclaw looked at Skyfeather, eyes glittering. This was the right thing, he knew. "I love you too" He whispered softly. He rubbed his cheek against hers, and sat back on his haunches.

Skyfeather nodded, auds holding happiness. She found it hard to believe that in one day she went from hated to loved.
