Sheerpath dipped her head. "I know that, but now at least my concience well be clear!" she let out a fiercsome howl and crashed in to Hawkfire in mid leap

Sheerpath bit down hard on to Hawkfire's shoulder drawing out a stream of crimson. Accidentally she swallowed a mouthful of blood making her let go and almost retch.

The tabby she-cat stopped where she was. She'd been out, not really doing anything, just happy to be out of the medicine cat's den when she heard a screech. It sounded like Hawkfire. As she got closer, she scented blood, and it was coming from the twoleg bridge. As she got even more closer, she saw Hawkfire and Sheerpath of RiverClan fighting. They were on the twoleg bridge. She gazed in horror, and limped over, as fast as her three working limbs would take her. Jadefire's tabby fur rose in anger. She forced herself not to say something rude to Sheerpath. " What is- " She stopped. During her "experience" in the battle, she now despised battles. Unless for a good reason. A one-on-one fight... well, there could never be a good reason for that. She narrowed her eyes. " If you think this is going to bring Timeshadow back to life, you're wrong... Haven't you learned enough about revenge, Hawkfire?!" She spat at the tom, furious at both of them. It was because of revenge that she-possibly- could never be a normal and true warrior again. It was because of revenge the Clans hated each other. It was because of revenge so many warriors- including Hawkfire- lost their dignity. And, it was because of revenge Timeshadow was dead.

Rainfire heard yowls from the bridge. She ran over and saw that Sheerpath and Hawkfire were fighting on top of the bridge. Furious, she yowled "Stop!" at the fighting cats. "How could you be so MOUSEBRAINED! Why can't anyone see that fighting solves nothing? It just ends in death and hatred!"

"Rainfire!" Sheerpath twisted her head around barely able to scent anything with the mouthful of blood she just swallowed.

Snake too had head the yowling, and rushed to see what was the matter. When he heard what Jadefire said about bringing Timeshadow back, he nodded. "That's just what I came to find you for- I figured it out!"
"Figured what out?" Hawkfire meowed in confusion and frustration. "Figured out why we fought, and why we're fighting. I finally understand!" Snake looked down at his paws. "You see, when a cat dies, he disappears, along with his past, present, and his future. Those who died had hopes and dreams, but everyone has something as important as those: parents, siblings, friends, mates; cats that were important to them, they trusted and helped each other. The bond between the cats important to them ever since birth and the string that binds them becomes thicker and stronger as time goes by... It's beyond reason. Those bound to them by that string will be left behind when the cat dies, so all those ties are severed, and a peice of us are taken away too. Nothing is left but memories, and no new ones can be created; no more part of your life can you share with that cat, because its painful being alone, and, by some unexplainable urge, we instinctivly seek to overlap our lives with other's." Snake looked up, "So that is why we fought, that is why we were angry. In the end... Loneliness, or fear of it, is the cause of our pain; but now I am saddened to see that so many cats can be surrounded by so many others; others that share the same feelings of loneliness, and shared the same instinct to overlap their lives with another, yet when that cat is gone, we don not seek to overlap our lives with eachother. Instead of sharing pain, why can we not share memories, or happiness of when that cat was with us? Because, when you die, do you wanted to be remembered for your life, or for your death?" Snake ended it with that simple question, and sat, looking at all of the cats. "Talk about talking!" Thought Hawkfire.

Dark Princess padded as fast she could to the fighting cats, but she hadn't heard Snake's speech. "What in Starclan's name is happening here?!? Riverclan cats! LEAVE US BE!" She yowled and looked at Hawkfire.

Sheerpath's green eyes were glazed now with fury and fear as she tried to unsag her claws from Hawkfire's pelt

Jadefire gave a low growl. She could tell Hawkfire was not taking Snake's words very seriously. " Hawkfire... The past cannot be changed... Sheerpath, I understand everyone is angry, and I do apoligize, I was one of those... But that certaintly does not give you the right to act so defiant, and agree to the fight!" By now, her voice was harsh. She spoke to both of them. " And... what exactly were you two trying to change?! The past?! The future?! What's done is done, Timeshadow is not coming back. I'm sure a newborn kit is smarter than you both!" She hissed, whipped around, and stalked off, well limped off.
