Waterclaw padded down to the calm pool. His reflection was shining, and he sighed. Again, no one had spoken to him, or anything. Did he really belong here? He drank some water.

Flarepaw stalked by the pool. She was lurking in the shadows. Before she saw a frog she noticed a cat by the pool. She padded over to him. She looked at him and then she sat down next to him. Her tail curled around her front paws. <b>"Hi I am Flarepaw."</b> She said proudly.

Waterclaw purred a bit roughly as an apprentice sat down beside him. "I know my clan mates, Flarepaw" His meows were a bit rough. He lied down and started cleaning himself.

Her eyes glowed brightly in the midnight. She meowed back with alittle bit of laughter. "I am sorry I didn't know." She put her head down to drink some of the cool water.

Waterclaw purred in amusement. "I'm Waterclaw by the way!" Waterclaw stretched. "Wanna hunt with me, Flarepaw?" He asked. It felt so good to have company again.

She also streched. " Yes I want to hunt with you." A soft purr escaped from her depths. She was very happy that someone would talk to her here and there.

Waterclaw nodded. "Lets just grab a couple of fish in The River" He nodded and led the way.
They stopped at the river, the borderline for Thunderclan & Riverclan. He padded down towards the edge and sat down in the shadows. He reached out to grab a fish, and it worked. They did this till it was close to dark, and everyone would eat. Waterclaw gathered them together. "I had a great time with you! Do you need any help?" He purred.

She nodded at thier work. She counted the number of fish. And there was just enough for the whole clan. "Yes I do need help and I had a great time with you to!"

Waterclaw nodded and grabbed a few fish from Flarepaw's pile. He started heading back to camp. "Coming?" He said through a pile of fresh kill. It sound more like, "Comphing?"

She smiled and knew her ceremony was coming up quickly. She purred happily. "Yes I am coming." And with that she grabbed a few fishies and fallowed.

Waterclaw dropped the pile of fish he was carrying on the fresh kill pile. "Maybe I could be your mentor! I should ask Snowstar!" He purred.

"It might be Sheerpath...Who knows!" He said in his own akward way. He headed to the fresh kill pile and took a fish. He settled down and took a large bite.

She looked in the kill pile and found a vole. She grabbed it and started to eat it. "Yes thats true." She purred with satifaction.

Waterclaw nodded and finished his fish. "I'll see you later!" He padded into the warriors den and settled down in his moss.
As he was sleeping, he thought of Flarepaw.Could she be the one?...She's just a young apprentice though! Nothing more!...But what about Dustpelt and Fernheart...
